Daniel Alexander

Danny is Director of CMIC and Director of Research in the Computer Science Department at UCL. He leads CMIC's Microstructure Imaging Group (MIG: mig.cs.ucl.ac.uk) and Progression of Neurodegenerative Diseases (POND: pond.cs.ucl.ac.uk) initiative.

Imanol Luengo

Dr Imanol Luengo graduated in Computer Science (BSc+MSc) and MRes in AI and Computational Optimization from the University of Basque Country. He obtained a PhD in the field of Computer Vision from the University of Nottingham. He has over 10 years of experience in applied machine learning and computer vision techniques, with focus in the fields of biology, medicine and particularly in surgery. Imanol is currently the Director of Surgical Intelligence at Medtronic, where he leads an AI team to solve challenging vision problems in surgery in order to build new AI-powered products and systems.
